Wheelies A-Z!

Wheelies is made up of like-minded people with interest in recreational wheel sports. The Wheelies has been operational for since August 2013 and because of our weekly demos and meet-up sessions, we have been fortunate enough to meet up with a lot of nice people from all walks of life as well as many different nationalities. We call this people "the Wheelians".

To help some of our friends understand some of the lingo we used, we have compiled a list of glossary of terms for your ease of understanding:

Agak Agak : estimate

Aeroplane: Promise to show up but didn't


B

Bo Jio : means never ask

Buang : means crash, collide

Brokeback mountain Wheelie : Wheelie trick where one Wheelian will stand on the other wheelian wheelie and try to move together... Sounds gay though

Boeing 777: See aeroplane

Ballerina: a wheelie trick with one leg elevated to 90 degree to the other leg and both hands spread in a flying action

Twin Ballerinas: a wheelie trick where two wheelians will hook one of the other legs and spin in a circle

Bobo Wheelie: to describe a wheelian who is prone to crash and collision

C

Chio bu: means pretty babes

Catch me if you can: Wheelians who "disrespect" general rules of wheeling

Chingay: Used to describe a wheelie that has the ambition to participate in the Chingay procession by constantly fitting new lights their wheelie

D

Donut : a wheelie trick execute by circling on a single spot at an acute angle

Reverse Donut : a wheelie trick execute by circling on a single spot at an acute angle, albeit in a reverse direction

Double Donut: a wheelie trick execute by circling on a single spot at an acute angle, using two wheelies

Reverse Double Double:  a wheelie trick execute by circling on a single spot at an acute angle, albeit in a reverse direction

Dirt Track: a wheelie ground where we will wheel on gravels, sands, uneven ground

Disco wheelie: describe a wheelian who is obsess to make his/her wheelie into a mobile discoteque

Do the tango : Wheelie trick where one wheelian will reverse backwards but he/she will be guided by the forward moving wheelian

E

Eng : means very free and have free time

Electric Unicycle : means a form of bicycle with operates only on a single wheel but works on electricity 

F

F&F: means fast & furious

iFly: means buang. See buang

Fly by night: means an individual / company who whack and created a price war by offering way unbelievable prices, only to back out on certain commitments

G

Gostan : wheelie trick where the wheelian will reverse his/her wheels

Single leg Gostan: wheelie trick where the wheelian will reverse his/her wheels, now only using one leg

H

Hopscotch: a wheelie trick where the wheelian will lift up one leg and move forward

Reverse Hopscotch: a wheelie trick where the wheelian will lift up one leg and move forward. albeit in a reverse direction

Haolian : a term to describe cocky behavior

Hosey : means great

I

Idle : A wheelie trick where the wheelian will more or less stay on a spot by moving forward and backwards

I'm so cool : One of the wheelian (TT) favorite term while wheeling

Infernal Affairs: People who signed up on your community or befriend you with the purpose of poaching your customers

J

Jio : means to ask out

Jump the gun: means to lift up the wheelies without using your hands. Usually done to overcome humps and bumps

K

Karate Kid Crane Style: Wheelie trick where Wheelian assumes the posture of the Karate Kid with one leg on the ground and the other angle in a crane style

Knockoffs : term used to describe similar products that is much cheaper but not the first in the market

Kebalang Pusing: Doing a 180 degree flip on the spot without moving the wheels

Langa : means to collide

Lion men: to describe unicyclist who still need learning wheels to wheel around

M

Modern father wheelie: A wheelian who enjoys riding on the wheelie and pushing it at the same time

N

Naked Gun - Wheelie that has zero modifications. Stock

O

Orbiang: Uncool, old fashioned

Orbi good: sort of a jeer, to say someone deserve it

Onz : means agree / yes to the proposition

OTF: On the floor. See Buang

One leg kicking: a wheelie trick where the wheelian will lift up one leg and rest it on the Wheelie

One leg SOC: a wheelie trick where the wheelian will wheel past obstacles using only one leg

Poison : means to influence the other person's mind in spending more time and money

Suka Suka: means like the idea of freedom of expression, choice

Seeing Double : Wheelie stunt where the Wheelian will move forward and backwards with two single wheelies

Sneakers: See Infernal Affairs

SOC: a wheelie trick where the wheelian will wheel past obstacles

Titanic: Wheelie stunt where a couple, usually a man and a woman, hold hands together while wheeling and begin kissing on the wheels

The Ts : Refers to the Thomas-es

Tiong Wheelie : Wheelie that has been heavily modified, usually with additional lights, padding, stickers

U

Unicycle: means a form of bicycle which operates only on a single wheel and one have to peddle

Up lorry: means wheelie is damage after unimaginable punishment and needs repair

V

Van Damme Split : Wheelie trick where Wheelian move on two wheels and doing the split like in Van Damme's Volvo commercial

W

Walking the tightrope: Wheelie trick where the Wheelian move on a tight platform, or narrow path and try not to fall

Zhng : means to mod the wheelie

180D - A wheelie trick where a wheelian will spin 180 degree while on the wheel and continue moving in reverse direction

360D -  A wheelie trick where a wheelian will spin 180 degree while on the wheel and continue moving in reverse direction
