[TWT] Firstly will need your age and occupation
[Dennis] I am 41 years old and work as a Sales Director in a design company.
[TWT] How did you start on the EU, how long you've been wheeling?
[Dennis] My first PMD was an E-scooter but I felt it was not as interesting after riding for sometime so I started to look into an electric unicycle. In July 2014, I bought a 2nd hand X3 clone and embarked on my learning journey of picking up wheeling skills on my own through YouTube videos.
[TWT] How did you find out about the Wheelies
[Dennis] After I managed to wheel on my own, I was introduced by a fellow Escooter rider to look for the Wheelies - Thomas Hoon. He introduced me to the X8 and I bought it on the spot. That meeting with Thomas opened my eyes to unicycles and I got to make many wonderful friends from the Wheelies since then.
[TWT] Why do you like wheeling?
[Dennis] Singapore is a hectic place, with cars zooming here and there. I get liberalised freedom when I am on the electric unicycle as I can explore places which cars cannot take me. Instead of driving to pack food for my family, I use the electric unicycle for this purpose and I also get to know my neighbourhood better.
[TWT] What is the most difficult trick you have done?
[Dennis] To date, I have been able to spin in circles and do one-leg stance on my electric unicycle. I am not a very agile person and dare not really venture into complicated tricks. Currently, I think the most difficult trick to me is reversing. I have been trying hard to master this skill and I will make sure I'll do it someday Hahahahaha
[TWT] Challengers for wheelers in Singapore
[Dennis] I sincerely hope that wheelers will be able to wheel 'everywhere' legally.
[TWT] Any last words for your readers?
[Dennis] Learning maybe a little tough but once you master it, your world will change ! I've "poison" a whole lot of my Escooter friends to wheeling. "You guys know who you are" hope more get the poison too !
